It is with great sadness that we post the news that Gary Kempton, Founder and President of GK Restorations passed away unexpectedly on
June 6, 2009.

Thanks to our loyal employees and customers, GK Restorations is continuing to stay in business.The shop is being supervised under the leadership of Keith Powell, Gary's paint specialist for over 20 years. Chris McMahon, Gary's body specialist and fiberglass master has also been with the company for over 20 years and many other members of our staff have been with us for over 15 years.

The staff is committed to continuing to meet the restoration needs of the Porsche community in the excellent manner that Gary established.

Our commitment is to the preservation of automotive works of art - we specialize in the Concours quality restorations of historically significant Porsches.

At GK Restorations our large staff of highly experienced craftsmen perform their Porsche restoration magic at a 15,000 sq. ft. facility located in Northwest Florida in the United States. Owner Gary Kempton founded the company and restored Porsches for over 35 years. The team of craftsmen Gary assembled, have years of experience working together - 20 years. All restoration work is performed in-house on our factory chassis micrometers for 356's and 911's. These micrometers have proven to be one of the greatest advantages to our work, as we can detect the slightest misalignment in the torsion tubes and correct the issue in the most effective way possible.

Our restorations can be found in the private collections of the Porsche family. Many of our cars have won (and continue to win long after the restoration has been completed) numerous awards
at Amelia Island, Meadowbrook, 356 Registry East Coast Holiday, Porsche Club of America Porsche Parades and many other events and prestigious car auctions.
